内容摘要：

We determine the masses of the sequential fourth generation quarks b’ and t’ in the extension of the Standard Model by solving the dispersion relations associated with the mixing between the neutral states Q\bar q and \bar Q q, Q (q) being a heavy (light) quark. The solutions to the dispersion relations lead to the masses mb’=(2.7\pm 0.1) TeV and mt’=200 TeV unambiguously. We show that these superheavy quarks, forming bound states in a Yukawa potential, barely contribute to Higgs boson production via gluon fusion and decay to photon pairs, and bypass current experimental constraints.

主讲人介绍：

李湘楠教授，台湾中研院物理研究所特聘研究员，1992年纽约州立大学石溪分校物理获得博士学位。李湘楠教授从事微扰量子色动力学和重味夸克物理领域的研究工作，在B介子的非轻子衰变方面，对因子化方法的发展做出了重要贡献。其中单篇论文引用超过500 次的有3篇，成为微扰QCD因子化方法研究B介子非轻子衰变的经典论文；引用超过100 次有20篇。李教授的学术兼职及荣誉包括：2006-2007年任台湾理论科学中心物理组主任，2009-2011年任台湾中研院物理所副所长，2007年获全球华人物理学会亚洲成就奖。
